“Grace” Collected by International Museum of Dance
I am deeply honored to share that my image “Grace” has been added to the permanent collection of the International Museum of Dance in San Francisco. This photograph, which celebrates the beauty, strength, and fluidity of the human form in motion, first debuted at the Daniel Miller Gallery in Los Angeles this summer, where it was also purchased for a private collection.
Having “Grace” join the museum’s permanent collection feels incredibly meaningful. It is not just an acknowledgment of the work itself, but a recognition of the artistry and dedication that goes into capturing the fleeting moments of dance. Knowing that this image will now be preserved and accessible to the public for years to come is both humbling and inspiring.
Photography and dance share a unique dialogue: one freezes a moment in time, the other flows continuously. In “Grace”, I sought to capture that delicate intersection — the ephemeral beauty of movement crystallized in stillness.
I am grateful to everyone who has supported this journey, from the dancers who collaborate with me (in this case, Portland’s Grace Armstrong, of BodyVox), to the galleries and curators who champion and celebrate this work. Being part of a museum dedicated to the art of dance is a dream come true, and it motivates me to continue exploring the grace and power of human expression.
